Want to know how to live a life you can be proud of in the end? π
How to make choices you won't regret in the long run? π€
What's one of life's biggest paradoxes that very few people realize? π
Paradox means: statements that are contradictory in themselves. Relax I will explain more later and you will easily understand!
These are exactly the questions we are looking for answers to in this article! π‘
But before we dive into this deep topic, let's... π
π How's the challenge?
π We are ranked 4th in the world!
We are ranked 4th in the Hormozis event! That's a big word because Hormozi has 4,000,000 followers - we have much bigger followings - and from that, 4th place is a great honor. π
First place is not far behind! It has 100 more invites, so it's time to catch it! π₯
It's all thanks to you, it shows that it's not how many followers a foreign Guru has, but how close he is with his audience! π
So, invite 1-2 more friends, I promise you won't regret it! π¨
If you don't know what it's all about yet, I'll give you a quick explanation. π£
Alex Hormozi - US mentor - is hosting a free online event on starting a business on 19th August and whoever can invite the most people. With that, Hormozi is holding a personal call that his audience - that's YOU - can listen to!
π 19th August - 18:00
π΄ It will be online
π Free, but registration requiredβ You do NOT have to provide your phone number
π₯ The big "funnel"
In English, a "funnel" to guide people through to the app. π²
I've analyzed our current "funnel" a bit more and looked at where is it narrowing the most, where are we losing the most people? π¬
I noticed that we lose most people BEFORE the free trial starts. So, for some reason they do NOT start the trial. π«
Almost half of those who do start up pay upfront. This also shows that the product is good! ππΌ
We just have to find a way to get people to try it! That it's not a "scam" and we don't want to steal their credit card. What's so rude is that in Hungary this really needs to be emphasized. π³
So for the next 3 months we'll be redesigning the payment page with Kokesz to make it more friendly! π¨
π We are switching to mini-Documentary films
We are now running a bigger test on YouTube for the next 3 months. Today is the last day for the regular YouTube videos and from here on we're switching to mini documentaries. π§ͺ
I feel we can make a bigger impact with those and make more people aware of the power of self-improvement! πͺπΌ
This means that we will have 1 video per month on the channel, we will see how it performs and what results it brings. Then, if it's a big "Flop", we'll go back to regular videos after 3 months. π¬
But I honestly feel that we are now at the stage where we can achieve greater results by increasing quality than just focusing on quantity! π
Our first Documentary about the Matrix was a big hit. (HUN) π₯
And next Friday we have the next one, does money make you happy? π°
It was a very difficult decision, but I feel that if we didn't try it, I would regret it later, because I would wonder "what if..." π€
Let's see...
π Why am I writing this article?
More and more I see that the current society has gone towards materialistic (i.e., objective) things. They are almost only interested in who has what house, what car, what objects. π‘
Because objects play such an important role, everyone wants more and more of them and bigger and bigger. How can you get objects? π§
With money! πΈ
That's why someone works 80 hours a week just to get credit to buy a car they don't need, to show off to people they don't like anyway. π
π‘ Side note: I know that sounds really good, but I'd be lying if I said I made that up entirely, Will Smith may have been the first to put it that way. So, thank him for that! π
They believe money can buy everything! π°
And I'll go further, some young people believe that their FATHERβs money can buy anything. π²
Maybe this is the worst version! It's kind of like when I went to school with what my classmate's hairdresser had for a car. π
And from that train of thought came one of life's most interesting paradoxes. Read it 2x and you'll understand it much better. π
It goes like this:
"People overvalue things that are replaceable and neglect those that cannot be replaced."
We overvalue the Gucci bag, the Ferrari, the jewelry and sadly neglect the really important things because of it. π
π Book recommendation. It also touches on happiness and life goals. If you are interested in this topic in more detail, it might be a good read. Of course, it's also on BookBase and you can listen to it in 15 minutes. π§
In the next part, I'll explain more about these things that we neglect. π
I sincerely hope that with this article, I'll be able to highlight the really important things! π₯
A small request: If you've enjoyed today's article so far and learned something new from it, I'd be very grateful if you could send it to a friend or simply share it on social media. It would help a lot in getting more people to read my thoughts. Not to mention, you could even get a gift!
Thank you! π§‘
π§ What can't money buy?
There is a famous saying that I have heard from many young people. The problem is that it is wrong in itself. π¬
The saying is:
"Health be health, the rest can be bought."
Far from it being only your health that money can't buy. But it is certainly a good starting point! π₯¦
π 1. Your health
And here I'm not just talking about your physical health, but your mental health too! Because that's something that many people neglect! π§
Mental health can also equal peace of mind and serenity. π
One thing for sure, you can help it if you have a lot of money, but you can NOT buy it! π°
It helps to eat healthy foods, meditate, get a massage, talk to a psychologist once in a while - which is not a bad thing at all - and afford vitamins and supplements. π₯
π Book recommendations: Michael Greger tackles the subject of health in his suitably funny book "How not to die". A giant skull and you can read about things you've never read about before! You'll find it in BookBase!
But the money won't go to the gym for you, it won't eat your food for you and it won't go to the psychologist for you either! ποΈββοΈ
𧑠2. Your relationship
I didn't write about sex because it's easy to buy in today's world. Whether it's with a professional girl or a gold-digging lady like you. You'd be surprised how much people in some places have lost their value. π
Here, by relationship, I mean finding a supportive partner. Someone you feel good coming home to, someone who helps you, someone you can talk to about your problems, someone you don't have to check up on because you trust 100%. π₯°
This is what money CANNOT buy. β
π‘ Side note: You're better off not even trying. Because if a girl got to know you for your money, she might stay for your money. I don't know one rich man who told me that he deliberately pretends he doesn't have money when he's dating. It's a way to weed out the people who only care about money. π΅
I used to think it was good to use money to compensate for a relationship I didn't have time to maintain. I couldn't have been more wrong. I didn't save it, I put a band-aid on that relationship. I've covered up the mistakes, so to speak. π§
Fortunately, I am a quick learner and will not make that mistake again! π
π Book Recommendation: Mark Manson's book - Models might be a perfect read on this topic.
π Book Recommendation: Alternatively, Gary Chapman's - 5 Love Languages is a must read if you want to have an uplifting relationship! Both are available at BookBase! π§
Of course, you can still SAVE money here, as you can use it to organise activities, holidays and experiences, but it is far from ENOUGH! π
Money still can't buy deep conversations, promises kept, selfless help. β
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ 3. The family
Many people say that you can't change your family, which is absolutely true!
But you can change your attitude with your family.
If you don't just look to them for help, but if you help them yourself, then family will always be there for you as a safety net. It will be something that no one can take away from you! π‘οΈ
Have you ever thought about how much you have asked your family for and how much you have given? π€
Seriously, just think about it, how many favors have you asked them for and how much have YOU given in return? π
I would venture to guess that 90% of readers are minus in this equation. Which is fine, because now you know what you need to change!
When I was in 9-10th grade, I didn't ask for things, I demanded them. I demanded pocket money, movie tickets, a new computer and the like. I am not proud of that time. I was disrespectful to adults and a typical bad teenager. π
Around the end of grade 12, I started to reevaluate the situation and that's when the realization hit me, "Hey, don't you think you should give something back?!" π‘
That's when I started "paying off" my debt. I'm still in the red myself, but I'm well on my way to giving back what they gave me. π
And it's not just parents and grandparents. It's also for siblings. Be a good sibling and help Him where you can. He knows he can count on you and if you promise something, you keep it! π€
I have a friend who is not on very good terms with her parents and wants to be as far away from them as possible. But I told him that running away is not necessarily the answer. Once you have to sit down and have the uncomfortable conversations, they pay off in the long run! π¬
"A person's success can be measured by the number of uncomfortable conversations they have had in their life."
So, think about this and help THEM, because they have helped YOU! ππ»
π€ 4. Friends
There is a saying that true friendships are born in childhood. There's something to this, as it's easier to get to know people then, but I'll refute that right off the bat. ππΌ
I met my friend Taki when I was 18 and since then I can say that he is one of my best friends. We have grown and developed together for almost 8 years now. π
I should add that I made most of my friends in high school, I just didn't make the mistake of neglecting those relationships during university. ποΈ
In today's world there are increasingly shallow relationships. You're on good terms with someone, then 2 weeks later you don't even say hello to each other. It's sad, but it's true. Especially for girls, but there are evolutionary reasons for that. π
Alongside family and relationships, friends can provide another safety net against disasters. π‘οΈ
You don't need hundreds of friends, just 2-3 if you have a really deep connection with them. π₯
Ask yourself this question honestly:
How many friends do I have that I can really count on?
Who would pick up the phone immediately if I called?
π‘ Side note: Or at least call me back... I have a friend, I won't name him - okay, Daniel the Great - who is also in my very close group of friends. I know that I can always count on him. But him... He's an unapproachable man! Not that he doesn't answer the phone, sometimes he doesn't even ring... But he always calls me back when I call, which is appreciated!
If you don't have a friend you can count on, it's time to look for new connections. I've already written 2 posts on this: Relationship Building 101 and Relationship Building GOD Mode are about just that.
π Book Recommendation: or listen to the summary of "How to Make Friends and Influence People" in the App!
Learn how to find out how to get friends in the app. β
π¨π½βπ» 5. Colleagues
You can make your life miserable by choosing the wrong people to work with.
I have a very close friend who has terrible co-workers and I can see that she is sometimes torn apart by stress. π«
Think about it, you spend 1/3 of your life at work. So it's more important than you think! β³
You have 2 options here:
If you're an employee, try to fit in and get along with them, if you really can't because the culture is rotten, then change! Peace of mind is worth more than a few 10.000 HUF! π§πΌββοΈ
And if you are an employer, only hire people who fit perfectly into the company culture. Ergo, people you would enjoy working with. It's okay if they're not yet at the top of their game, they'll learn. Just fit into the culture! ππΌ
I'm blessed to have all my co-workers that I love and enjoy working with. I would sit down with any of them for coffee or a beer anytime. Without choice! πΊ
It's all a result of looking for people who fit into the company, not people who have made it big in 1-1 area. π§©
π‘ Side note: It's important to remember that culture affects everyone. So, for example, in our company, learning and development is already coded into the company culture. So, you wouldn't be able to compare my colleagues to people I could have hired because they were professionally better. In 1 year, not only did my staff catch up, but they surpassed that level several times over. And that's not all! π
π‘ One more side note: I've had more than one entrepreneur ask me where I found such a good video editor or programmer or designer. And my answer is always the same. I didn't find it, we "developed" it together. π§ͺ
π‘ 6. Opportunities
There are opportunities that money can't buy. π«
There is a typical saying here:
"There are doors that only relationships can open."
We don't have to go very far. There's Alex Hormozi, one of the few people I look up to! π
You can't buy a consultation from him, even if you could at a surreal price. β
However, there's this competition to see who can invite the most people to his event, he holds a personal call with them and his audience can listen. π€
So, this is the only way to get it. Money can't buy it!
Luckily, we are doing quite well! π
In the whole world, we're number 4 in the ranking, which is a big deal because 4,000,000 people follow him. π
The number 1 spot is also only 100 invites away from us, so it's time to get on it! I truly believe that with our community, this is achievable and that we can show other American Gurus that it's not the number of followers you have, it's the close connection you have with your audience! πͺπΌ
If you haven't registered for the free event, which by the way will be like the Super Bowl for entrepreneurs, you can do so here! π
I promise you'll learn more about entrepreneurship in 1 hour than you will in the entire university! π§
(You do NOT have to provide your phone number) π΅
See what opportunities are around you that money can't buy, but somehow you can get them in other ways! π
π 7. The moments
It's true that you can buy experiences and that's probably one of the best ways to spend your money, but I think there's a difference between experiences and moments. At least in my perception. I'll explain. π€πΌ
A lived moment is when you shut out the outside world and really experience the moment. It can be a sunset, a casual walk or even a deep conversation. π£
Experiences are the things that fill you up. New things you've never tried before: jet skiing, a tour, a new country, whatever. π₯Ύ
Make sure you have moments you've lived, along with the experiences. Something you'll remember, something you can tell your grandchildren about later. π΄πΌ
You can't buy these moments with money, they just come and you have to be aware of them to recognize them. π
One of those moments for me that I'll never forget is when my brother and I were out in Italy one summer morning - or rather at dawn - rolling out to watch the sunrise, which was right over the sea. I remember clearly that I really didn't want to get up, but I pulled myself together and off we went. As the sun came up it was about 20 minutes, but in those 20 minutes we didn't say a word, we just watched it together and admired it. π²
If I look at the price of the scooter, it cost me about 700 HUF for that moment, but it lasted a lifetime. π°
You should try to collect moments like this! π
And finally, the last, maybe the most important...
ππ» 8. Our integrity
I know, I know this is not an easy word. So, I'll explain. π£
Integrity means: keeping promises you make to yourself.
You make promises to yourself every day. π
β° I'm going to get up at 8:00.
ππΌββοΈ I will go to the gym
π§ I will listen to 1 book at BookBase.
etc.
The question is how many of these do you stick to? π€¨
How many promises have you made to yourself and not kept? π§
If a lot, you may be losing confidence. Because self-confidence translates to how much you trust yourself. π°
How can you trust someone who doesn't keep their promises?
Do you feel you don't have enough self-confidence? π₯Ί
Similarly, just promise yourself small things and keep them immediately. One by one! I promise you, if you do this, your confidence will grow! πͺπΌ
π Book recommendations: The 6 Pillars of Self-Esteem by Nathaniel Branden, written for people who are low on self-confidence and don't know how to change it! Listen in 12 minutes! π§
And the interesting thing is, if you can put these parts of your life in place, you've got the hardest tasks solved.
π Think about it:
If you take care of your health, you'll have fewer problems in your old age. π₯
If you choose your partner well, he or she can make you happy for the rest of your life. π§‘
If you have a good relationship with your family, you can always count on them as a safety net. π
If you keep your promises to yourself, you will keep moving forward in life. π
If you have friends, you'll never have a boring life. π
If you have good colleagues, you'll be less stressed. π
If you have lots of experiences, you will never be dissatisfied with your life. ππ»
If you keep your eyes open, you will find opportunities. π
And, to...
β
What exactly do you do?
[ ] First, write down on a sheet of paper all the criteria in the list above. π
[ ] Step two, rate from 1 to 10, one by one, only those that apply to you. π
[ ] Step three, go through the list again and determine where you are most behind. π
[ ] Step four, focus on that one segment until you bring it up to a normal level. Really take your time! π
[ ] Step five, then move on to the second worst and focus on that. And so on and so on! ππ»
You can ruin your whole life if you don't address these issues at a young age.
How bad would it be to lie there in your bed at 85 and say:
"I have not lived a life to remember."
So, it's time! π«΅πΌ
It's not too late to deal with the things that really matter in life! β
π₯ Challenge
Edu to build our own measurement system so that we can measure one by one which channels are most profitable. So, we'll have a unique link and I'll be able to look at how many subscribers have been generated by which specific ad. βοΈ
That's really the basis for marketers and you could say we've been steering on full blind, intuition so far. But now we have the time to climb that ladder! π
Then, slowly, one by one, we will try out the new channels, which I have already written a list of thanks to the book "Traction"! π
So, were best to promote BookBase! π’
Don't be surprised to see us in 1-2 new places! π
π What have I just read?
I am reading Drew Eric Whitman's masterpiece "Ca$hvertising". Simply brilliant, it perfectly summarizes the knowledge of the really great "old engine" marketers. π
David Ogilvy, Eugene Schwartz, Claude Hopkins and I could go on. These people were great in the 1900s and you can still learn from them today. π΄πΌ
I have taken out an ad based on this and am now waiting for the results. But the first round of feedback has been insanely good. π₯
It's important to note that as I read this book, I'm also putting what I've learned chapter by chapter into my business. And that is the wonder of reading!
I will be adding this to BookBase soon! π
π§ What have I just listened to?
Luke Belmar had a podcast where he talked about self-improvement and how the market doesn't care that YOU don't like to read. You either have the knowledge or you don't. I shared an excerpt of it on Instagram because I liked it so much. π
Now we're going to get the guys to look for mentors abroad who can confirm the same things we say and put them on social media and maybe even the website. Just to reinforce others! πͺπΌ
Iman Gadzhi also had a video where he talked about the importance of knowledge and how most people are not successful because they don't have the knowledge! π§
Knowledge is one thing that can never be taken away from you! That's why Alex Hormozi says it's best to invest in yourself when you're young! π°
βπΌ Top quote
"Some people are so poor all they have is money." ~ Bob Marley
