I guess you get that feeling when you work day after day and the results come slowly.
But somehow you still feel that something is not right. π«
Sound familiar?
You try to relax, you try to turn off your brain, but you still don't feel right. π€¦π½ββοΈ
And then you wonder, what could be causing it?
Am I burnt out?
Does some other career suit me?
Should I start a new business? π€·π½ββοΈ
I have to reassure you; it happens to everyone.
I'd be lying if I said it never happened to me...
That's when you have to recognize the situation and take a step back. π£
Because you're so involved in the job at hand that you can't see things normally. π΅βπ«
It can help a lot if you try to get a bird's eye view of the situation.
Ergo, step away from your day job!
This will give you a clear picture of the real obstacles. πΌοΈ
That's exactly what I did a year ago when I went on a month-long road trip to the Alps with Kinga, Kokesz and Edu. β°οΈ
On the one hand, we gained a lot of experience, and on the other hand, I saw things much more clearly when I came home. ποΈ
But this is not a "do it once and never again" exercise.
It's good to repeat it every now and then!
It's that time again this year.
Next week, to be precise... ποΈ
You may remember when I wrote that my brother is out studying for a year in America.
So now my dad and I are flying out to see him and doing a similar Roadtrip.
Plus! We'll be doing it all in a caravan! π
It will be just like in the movies.
π‘ Side note: What's that cheesy American comedy where the family rides in a camper and makes all the mistakes possible? Ahh. can't think of any, anyway it'll be about like that! Yeah, got it!!! The family business.
The ones we will definitely be visiting are Yellowstone National Park, Grand Canyon, Yosemite National Park and Sequoia Forest. π§πΌββοΈ
π‘ Side note: You get it, there's the world's largest tree. What you usually see on Instagram, "influencers" taking photos with these giga trees, there it is!
Perfect places for us all to recharge.
And our last stop will be...
Drum roll, please!
Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrβ¦ π₯π₯π₯
Alaska! π»
This has been on my bucket list for a long time.
To be more precise, ever since I saw the movie "Into the Wild" I've wanted to go there.
Bears, Mountains, Moose, Bears, Nature, Bears...
I am simply in love already!
I think you know me well enough to know how much I hate big cities.
I'm just a small-town guy.
So, it's not going to be the typical, Los Angeles, San Francisco, etc. route.
The only place we're stopping is Las Vegas, because it's a big dream of my dadβs. π°
π‘Side note: Also, don't pull the half-arm off, because if 777 comes out, I'll disappear and there won't be any more posts. Okay that was just a joke! Psst... I'd probably reinvest it all back into OM, but don't trumpet that.
Hopefully you read this post too:
Because in it I explained perfectly how I allocate my money.
And it's easy to understand why I disappear for 1 month. πΆβπ«οΈ
Any dividends that come in from the company I'll split:
Half goes to investments... IMMEDIATELY
The other half I set aside for experiences.
This usually = travel. π
E.g., part of last year's dividends is now going to be used for this trip to the US. I mean I invested in my present with it.
Because I "bought" myself some experiences. π€©
Which is good because half of my money is building my future and the other half is building my present.
While other people invest everything and just build their future, I'm travelling the world when I'm young.
And they'll be 70 years old, sipping on an ocean liner, sipping on some cheap expensive drink and wondering what if...
Yeah, I know, sucks! π«€
Although I might add, in 27 years I've never been on a typical father-son getaway.
You know, where it's just the two of you... the three of you. π¨π½
It's funny to think that my dad is 59 years old and he may never get to America again, or Alaska for that matter.
Not to mention a rough journey of self-discovery!
I'll be stuck with him and Bence in a caravan for 4 weeks.
Which is a bit daring, because all three of us have our intolerable sides. π€·ββοΈ
Let's be honest...
Few people could survive with their families huddled together for 4 weeks. π
Therefore, there will be no blog post for the next 30 days.
π‘ Side note: I know how you feel, hey here's a tissue wipe that crocodile tear off your face.
So, an era comes to a close with these few weeks. π
When I come back, I will NOT be writing blog posts on Substack anymore...
We are moving to Beehiiver, which is a similar platform only much better. π
At least it seems so at first.
I believe it will help us a lot to grow. π
However, ...
It's much easier to monetize your content, which means they can get sponsors for your newsletter.
That way, you don't have to pay for the newsletter at all!
After all, you can already be self-sustaining with sponsorships. π‘
Not to mention, it also has a serious referral system, which allows you to give a gift after every invitation!
This way, we can give back to you, as a valued member of the community, as a thank you. ππ»
So, my premise is:
That we could easily make the newsletter self-financing, which would mean we could pay the Beehiive fee - which is 40.000 HUF per month -, produce better quality mail and even boost growth.
But I don't want to leave you without offering something to do for the next 4 weeks.
This summer will be the biggest Mindset Meetup ever, you can sign up for the waiting list here:
I promise it will be worth it!
The reason we need a waiting list is because the previous one sold out quickly and we don't know how big a room we can manage yet.
So, ticket sales will be like a concert.
There will be 1 day in mid-June where you can buy tickets and whoever gets them will be etched.
Of course, if you're on the waiting list, you'll hear about it sooner!
I've brought some book recommendations for you!
π Book recommendations: These are well worth listening to at BookBase and buying in full if you like. I'll write down the title of the book and the topic next to it.
The "E" Myth - Starting a business
The Encyclopedia of Body Language - Psychology
Influence - Psychology
The 5 levels of leadership - Leadership
The art of seduction - Dating
The way of the superior man - Becoming a man
Reality Transurfing - Spirituality
The obstacle is the way - Philosophy
How to Make Friends - Communication (don't care if you've already read it, it's worth a re-read for everyone)
π‘ Side note: Even before I left to America. I ordered 8 books for Bence from Amazon. I told him to make sure to bring them with him, so I'd have plenty to read on the trip.
I'll show you what I ordered for the trip.
We'll see how many I end up with:
The Art of Persuasion
No BS maximum referrals
Fucking Good Content
This is Fucking Shit
Fobes Greates Business Stories
Millionaire Master Plan
Fix This Next
Don't be an Entreprenuer, unless...
So, I won't be bored either!
And finally, if you're interested in my trip to America and want to see some insider pics, check out my private Instagram, there will be some gems along the way, I guarantee it!
This is not a goodbye forever, more of a "see you soon".
I can't thank you enough for being here with me and reading my chaotic thoughts.
I sincerely hope that reading it has stuck with you other than the ram.
π«‘
And herewith,
KristΓ³f says goodbye...
