Either you didn't start or you tried to do both at the same time. Saying that way you can progress with both. π«₯
Well, that's the logical choice and it's also the wrong choice!
I'll show you how to do it better...
But first, let's see... π
π How's the challenge going?

Edu has finished the wiring, so we have an "almost" fully working Beta App. Which is an amazing achievement from the guys!

I'm honestly proud of the team, we work like a well-coordinated machine now!
I don't want to reveal much on purpose, but I'll give you a quick sneak peek:

π Why can't we decide?
Because our brain tries to weigh the options and choose the most logical one. In this case, several outcomes can happen:
If it has too many options, with too many unpredictable outcomes, it simply gets tired and stops the task. So, you will not even make a decision. This is called decision paralysis. π
If you are overwhelmed by too much information, you will try to postpone the decision, this is typically the case when you have to choose between 2 projects but you can't, so you start both in parallel to gather information. π¬
Since your brain doesn't know the exact outcomes of your choices it can only guess. But sometimes these decisions are so complicated that you can't even do that.
So, it is logical to postpone or even reject the decision. β
However, it is far from the most logical choice.
In such cases, we need to take control of our minds and get into the equation ourselves. π§
Many times, you will come out ahead with whatever choice you make, all you need to do is just stand by it 100%.

π§ Why is it worth focusing on 1 thing?
π Book recommendations: Gary Keller has the famous book "The One Thing", which should be required reading in school. It perfectly covers this topic and I'm going to draw a lot from it to write this piece. You'll find it summarized in BookBase! π§
The easiest way to illustrate this is with a simile.
After all, you really understand a topic when you can explain its essence with a simile. π§
I assume you run fast! But not as fast as Usain Bolt. ππΌ
However, what if we put 1-1 10kg bag on each of your backs... π
You're right, the lineup wouldn't change at all, Bolt would still leave you there easily.
But what if he had 5 10kg backpacks on his back and you only had 1. πππππ
Who would be the fastest?!
I bet it would be YOU! π
Now replace the backpacks with projects.
The more projects you try to carry at once, the less progress you can make with them.
Think of a bright sunny day standing in nature with a magnifying glass in hand.βοΈπ
If you move the magnifying glass quickly from one flower to the next, nothing special happens. πΊππΈ
But if you hold the magnifying glass still over a single flower - focusing the sun's light at one point - you'll soon notice the flower starts to heat up, and the force of the heat changes the flower. πΈππ₯
This is the power of focus.
If you scatter your energy and time between many different projects, each one will only get a small amount of attention and none will reach their full potential. But if you focus all your attention on a single goal, the energy you gather can make a huge difference. π
I used to fall into this mistake, trying to take on 5 projects at once...
And the rough thing was that I made the least money, because I couldn't give 100% attention to anything, so only a little of everything came in, say 0.1 units, which added up to 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 0.5 ππΌ
However, when I realized this and changed it, from then on, the focus was only on OM. I would have had more results even if the OM had only 1 unit. But because I focused all my energy on it, it had the result and brought me nearly 1.6 units. ππΌ
Which means that I earned more than 3x as much with OM than with the 5 projects combined (0.5 vs. 1.6) π²
And that's just one factor!
We haven't even talked about how mentally exhausting it can be to have to keep multiple things in your head and jump between tasks. I mean multitasking. π€
When I was taking on multiple projects at once, my weeks were split up, each day I was working on a different project, which meant that just before I could dive in, I had to switch to another one. All this switching drained my energy to the point that by Wednesday I was completely exhausted, my creativity and zest for life was approaching 0. π₯΄
But, not only to scare you with bad examples, but also to mention some attractive outcomes!
When you focus on 1 thing, you can really dig in. Which means you can gain experience in it relatively quickly. Which you can use later in your career.π
I'll give you a simple example from my own life.
When I started Drop shipping, I learned website editing from that, which I could later use in my website building business. π»
Where besides website building, I learned marketing and sales, which later helped me find my passion and start OM. πΈ
You see it's not an either-or route, it's a cause-and-effect relationship, if I hadn't started drop shipping, I wouldn't have learned to edit websites, which I wouldn't have learned to market from, which would have resulted in you not reading this article because there is no OM! β
Would I have done drop shipping for the rest of my life?
NOPE! πͺ
Would it have helped me take it to the next level?
ABSOLUTELY! ππ»
And that's why I don't regret having started in the first place!
I just wanted to show you that you should not choose now what you can do for the rest of your life. But what can you do for 3-6 months with 100% focus? π€
Because those 3-6 months will give you enough experience to move on if you don't like it!
I would add to this by saying that we think a lot about "What if..." but forget "What else could be..." because we have all the control! π
The best way to illustrate this to you is with this picture!
Don't let decisions paralyze you completely, just make a decision and stick with it 100%, if you've made the wrong decision, you can always change it. β
You have nothing to lose, you've just traded your time for experience! Which you can use effectively later! β

I'll give you a simple guide to refer back to whenever you're faced with difficult decisions... π

What exactly do you do?
β οΈ Before we get started, it's important to note: It is difficult to create a guide that can be applied to any decision. I have tried to create one for you, but I am aware of the limitations. So, your love life should preferably NOT be decided on this basis. For everything else, I think it will be fine...
[ ] First step, see what your long-term goal is. π―
[ ] Step two, write down all your decision options on a sheet of paper, one below the other. π
[ ] Step three, take at least 1-1 hour to gather information about your options, answer questions in your head if you can. π
π‘ Side note: You don't need time to make a decision, you need information. If you're indecisive, it means you don't have enough information to be confident enough to take a stand for one of your options.
[ ] Step four, draw 2 columns next to them, one called "Development Opportunity" and one called "Passion". The first one represents how much you could develop from it and the second one represents how much you would like to do it. Rate them from 1-10, with 10 being the best. π
[ ] Step five, don't accidentally add them up and come up with a winner, because that in itself could give you a wrong result, because, if you have a development of 10 but a passion of 1, that's 11, whereas, if you had a development of 5 but a passion of 5, that's only 10. Wrong result would come out. So just look at your spreadsheet and think about it a bit, is there anything you would like to choose based on these numbers. If there is, choose it! β
[ ] Step six, if not, choose the one you're most passionate about, get started and focus only on that, for the next 3-6 months. It's okay if you don't do it for the rest of your life, I'm not drop shipping you. Just think of it as gaining experience! π§‘
The point is to decide! ππ»
Believe me, a bad decision made is better than one not made! Because at least with the wrong decision you're moving, while with the one you didn't make, you're just stagnating...
When great entrepreneurs say "Get started", they mean exactly what I have summarized in this article. ππΌ
π₯ Biggest obstacle
Design and build an automated Feedback system that BookBase members could already use in the App. So, they could easily report Bugs, automatically book Customer Interviews in my calendar and many other such little things. βοΈ
Designing a system like that takes a lot of mental energy, so I've dedicated my Thursday to it, in its entirety. π§
So, the system is pretty much put together, just need to plan the staggered installation with the guys.
π·πΌββοΈ Fix It Friday
For some reason Challenges didn't work on Android phones, overnight this bug came up and had to be fixed pretty quickly. After all, it is a tricky bug.
Luckily for Edu, it worked!
The 1 good thing about this little bug was that it showed us how many people were using the Challenges and that our assumption was correct! People like it when you put together what they want to read in advance.
π What did I just read?
Robert Updegraff's little book "Obvious Adams", which tells the journey of a successful entrepreneur through a short novel. You know I don't read much of this stuff, but this was personally recommended by Hormozi's marketing director - Tobias. It's only 58 pages, well worth a read. π
But pay attention because it is quite old and so the language is not the easiest.
I liked this novelistic line so much that I started to read Paulo Coelho's successful book "The Alchemist". I'm only on the first chapter, but I'm already hooked. π³
Maybe I should read more novels!

π§ What have I just listened to?
I was just listening to the $100 Million Offers recap in the BookBase during training, just to refresh my knowledge. Honestly hats off to BΓΆgszi, he summarizes the whole book brutally well, it's no coincidence that it's 34 minutes long! π©
My own notes are also included, so it was especially nice to listen back! I literally got the gist of it all in 34 minutes!
But it's also true that if I had listened to it the first time, it would have been succinct enough and definitely not 1 listening summary, but at least 2-3. π§
