Now I want to take you through an exciting discussion! π«΅π½
Don't worry, it won't be long, but it will be exciting! π
But first...
π How's the challenge going?
π§ Deep Dive category (for real now)
If all goes well, it will now really make it into the App. The purpose of this would be to test how many people read these and at what rate it would be worth it for us to produce Deep Dives.
π» Courses will be added to the Web App
It's almost time to show the big world what our Web App is like. We don't have much longer to hide and polish it. It will mirror the App perfectly and will be almost the same to use, only on a computer. The goal is to be able to use it in both places and even jump between them as you find most convenient.
π New search page
The search page in the App is, well, how shall I explain it...
It was pretty simple. π¨πΌβπ¦²
It's time to change that: we're adding recommended books to the search engine and new books will be listed!
π€« Secret plan
I have a very interesting idea that I'm going to tell the guys about this weekend. They'll be here Friday-Saturday and we'll be pushing updates like hell. I think if this idea of mine could be implemented, we would gain a pretty big competitive advantage in the international market = It would be insanely cool to use the App and it would be like a Mentor for you. But I can't say more for now...
I was a dreamer when I was a kid, typically the guy who spent his whole junior high years planning how cool he would be when he grew up. π€
I remember in 4th grade I even had a notebook where I wrote down what it would be like to open a small shop and how I am going to make it profitable. π₯Ή
π‘ Side note: I mean, don't get me wrong, there were completely random numbers on the card (I was about 10 years old), I didn't even know what they cost, but the point is that I was already thinking about the future.
π Why is it worth dreaming?
I don't want to go into the objectives here, as I have already written a post about that here.
Rather, I want to focus on the part of this topic that only a few people talk about. Vision and why it is important to look ahead. π
A lot of people are considered as Visionaries - for example Elon Musk, Bill Gates or Steve Jobs.
People who have turned the whole world upside down and transformed it. πͺ
π Elon Musk - Electric cars and the Mars expedition, etc.
π₯ Bill Gates - With computers
π Steve Jobs - I think it's obvious, but I'll write it down... iPhone
Today these are obvious things apart from the Mars expedition, but when they popped out of the heads of the above people, they seemed surreal. Futuristic ideas that were given minimal chance. π¨
"If you're going to take bold bets, they're going to be experiments and if they're experiments you don't know ahead of time if they're going to work. Experiments are by their very nature prone to failure. But a few big successes compensate for dozens and dozens of things that didn't work." ~ Jeff Bezos
What do the above people have in common?
They dare to dream big π§
They worked hard for their goals πͺπΌ
They made other people believe it was possible ππ»
And they saw where the world was going, a pattern that other didn't. π
This is exactly what I want to give you now, a futuristic idea that at first you will think is crazy, but by the time you read this article you will know where the world is going (and BookBase)!
π‘ Side notes 2: As Jeff Bezos and other equally successful people have said, you can't predict the future! You just have to be smart and experiment and you'll get closer and closer to possible solutions. I don't know what the future holds, I just try to think logically ahead.
π Book recommendation: Nick Bostorm β Superintelligence. It was on Bill Gates' and Elon Musk's reading lists; it presents us a potential vision of the future that is looking absolutely realistic. You can find it in BookBase and it's only 9 minutes to listen!
πΈ Let's fly to 2025
Let's imagine it's 2025, a perfectly ordinary afternoon, you sit down on the sofa and you open BookBase. π²
You don't know what to read, so you open the search engine and type in your question:
"How do I make money online?" βοΈ
Then BAMM... BookBase pops up all the books that are most relevant to you based on your question. π₯
You start reading a summary, highlight a few sentences from it that are relevant to you, but suddenly a question about the book comes to mind. You pause the audiobook (since you were listening to it to make it more memorable) open your little personal assistant and ask your question. β
It will give you an answer based on the knowledge in the book. π¬
So, you could immediately tailor the content of a book to your own life. π€©
Then, you finish the book and get the usual XP/OM Coins. And you'll be happy to see your own progress, and thanks to OM Coins you can vote on the direction of the Application, what features should be improved. π
Close the App and get on with your day. βοΈ
Then in the evening you are scrolling on YouTube where they recommend a totally relevant book for you. π
You immediately open BookBase to see if it's up on it.
But unfortunately, you can't find it... β
However, you don't despair because you know that BookBase will give you a summary, you just have to enter the title of the book and the author and they will give you a summary. All you have to do is wait a little while, but I promise it won't be long. β³
While your custom summary is being made, you can easily go back to the main page and scroll the app, find a book you've read a while ago, but open it up again to see if it has anything new to show you. π‘
But then you are surprised because the summary has changed a bit and you don't understand why, but the book just sucks you in. πͺ
I'll help you, this was done by BookBase AI, based on people's highlights, constantly rewriting the summary to make it as comprehensive and exciting as possible for you. π±
Oops you'll get the notification; your individual summary is ready. π¨
Click on it and start the audiobook. ππΌ
Perfect program before bedtime. π
After all, Netflix is out of date anyway. πͺ
Man it's 2025!
You'll complete the exercises and get relevant feedback on your progress. π
You're a bit tired, so you're going to bed. π΄
Next day you wake up, do your usual morning routine. βοΈ
You're eating your breakfast and you get a notification. π₯£
π BookBase Meetup will be in your neighborhood!
Click on it to see where exactly it will be. ππΌ
You realize it's in your favorite coffee shop, check out who's coming and see that 2 of your best friends have already responded yes. π
π You think, "I can't believe how much BookBase has improved in just 3 years."
If you like to waste long hours of your life, then DON'T listen now...
Because if the above statement is true, BookBase would be a terrible choice for you, because:
β There is no unnecessary talk here
β No dry descriptions
β And no obsolete, inextricable knowledgeHowever, ...
If you want to accelerate your progress 7x:
βοΈ Download the App: Click here
βοΈ Start the 5 Day Trial
βοΈ Take your Relationships, Wealth and Health to the next level with the knowledge in the books.
So, you what...?
π§ How will BookBase be different?
It's hard to predict 2 years in advance, but I'll show you what the guys and I wrote down during our last Brainstorming Session. I know it's a bit futuristic, but trust me it will work!
1. question-based search π
No more fiddling around with book titles, just type in your question, where you're stuck, what you'd like a solution to and BookBase will give you the best answers.π¬
2. Ask the Book?β
Whatever question you have, you can ask from a chatbot with all the Book's knowledge uploaded, and even the author's previous podcasts and blogposts. So, you will get the specific answer that is most relevant to you. It's like ChatGPT but for specific books. π€©
3. AI automatic book repair πͺ
An AI that detects the best parts of your book based on your highlighting and rewrites them periodically to add more value and make them more understandable. This helps to make better and better abstracts, supervised by meat and blood humans of course. π¨π½+π€
4. OM Coins πͺ
The OM Coin will be like a cryptocurrency that will be added to one of the Blockchains, the idea is to give users the right to vote. So, the users who will have a bigger right to vote in the development of the App will be the ones who use it the most. I'm already thinking about how else this can be redeemed, but if you have any ideas let me know on Instagram or here in comments. π
5. Custom shortcuts π
We don't want to get in the way of anyone's improving progress, which is why if you can't find your interests in BookBase, you have the option to request custom shortcuts that you can pay for in OM Coin. This way an AI would summarize any book for you, and after the guys checked it would be added to the BookBase, thus rapidly increasing the number of books and teaching materials. All that's left is the sorting. π
6. Meetups and offline events π
We would like to introduce a Meetup system so that like-minded young people can meet live, not just in chat bubbles. This way we will be able to actively develop the community. I've already put together in my head what this would look like, but it would be difficult to describe. I need to simplify it a bit. π€
7. Language learning facilitator π
And last but not least, since the BookBase will be international, the Books will be translated into several languages. So, if you want to learn a specific language, you just need to change the language of the App in the settings and you can read/listen to the summaries. It's true that it's not a language learning App, but that's not our goal, we'll leave that to Duolingo. π
If I've missed something or if you have a great idea, don't hesitate to let us know right here.
π₯ Challenge
The biggest challenge right now will be to implement them. There are 1 or 2 on the list that I don't know what technology we will use yet. The others could be done by connecting technologies that we already have. You just have to think them through because it's easy to get confused. π€
Actually, I would divide the challenges into 3 parts:
Edu needs to learn and understand new technologies to work effectively in them. AI, web3, etc. I'm not afraid of that for a second because, if it were up to him, we could speedrun them with Kokesz in 2 months (which I secretly hope) (just kidding). π¨π½βπ»
Kokesz needs to be up to date with the latest UX trends and Design Systems so that the App does NOT only look good, but is psychologically on top too. Gametheory, Behavioral Science, etc. Actually, the problem here is that it requires a lot of design and research as well. π¨π½βπ«
And then itβs me, whose biggest challenge is to assess the needs of the users and give ideas to Edu + Kokesz that will drive the development of the App forward and not over complicate it. Plus find that small niche that we can exploit with good marketing to outperform foreign Apps. π
π What have I just read?
I just got back from Malaga, the flight was 3:35 hours, so I had plenty of time to read. And my choice was definitely 100 million Offers (Alex Hormozi's big hit book). The whole book is about how to make a good offer to people. π°
I can already see where we are a little behind with BookBase offer and I'm going to spend the whole of next week trying to improve on that. π
The short of it is that you need to help people achieve their goals in the shortest time possible and with the least energy investment, if you optimize your business to do that (and people actually achieve their goals), you'll never have a problem with customers! π
π§ What have I just listened to?
I was listening to an interesting podcast where the host was testing ChatGPT and "making" it his own Psychologist. He uploaded his diary from the last 10 years into AI and used it to train the model, and then asked him questions based on that data. π§
For example:
When was I happiest in the past and why?
How can I bring this back up again?
What is holding me back?
etc.
The AI gave surprisingly good answers and I wondered, is this the future? AIs giving advice to humans? It's quite utopian and lacks empathy. I hope that the role of psychologists and counsellors will remain the same in society, or at least be slightly transformed.ππ»
After all, if we were to look to AI for advice and redemption, then who would be guiding Who?π§
π Book Recommendation 2: Yuval Noah Harrari's Homo Deus paints such a utopian picture, that the species will soon become a demigod thanks to AI. In any case, an interesting read. 13 minutes in BookBase.
